Side Mount Lamp Socket has a unique method of attachment. It connects to 1/8 IP lamp pipe on side of socket at a 90 degree angle, rather than at base.  Wire exits thru this side connection of socket. Once installed, set screw provides secure attachment. Accessible pull chain enables easy access for on/off switching.  If using on lightweight-lamps, lamp may need to be steadied when chain is pulled. These unique side mount sockets are often used with lamp clusters and on wall mount lamps.

The socket body is brass, providing superior durability and a long-lasting quality appearance. Unlike brass-plated or brass-guilt sockets, it does not become dull or washed-out over time.
