This is a 1940-1950s lead crystal glass spooner, vase or container with a pretty waffle and fan design with a star bottom.

The cylinder vase or spooner measures 4 inches high by 3.75 inches in diameter and is unmarked. I don't know the maker, but it was made in the USA.

Spooners, or spoon vases, were originally designed by the early Victorians to hold spoons on the table or sideboard, as there was not always enough at each place at the table.

This lead crystal spooner or vase is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear and would add an elegant touch to any counter, dining table or tea table.
